Just a BEAUTIFUL venue. Seating of all types Outdoor, outdoor private, fine dining, private dining, C bar, gathering with couches and chairs. Amazing selection of seating moods. Wine cellar and a practical list of appetizers. Did not have lunch/dinner there but can imagine what it might taste like!
Im baffled at the fact Amelias has 4/5 stars. I have two negative experiences with Amelias, both times I was apart of an all black party. The first occurred a couple of years ago in which we rented out Amelias for a birthday party and were told or guest were laughing too loud and had to leave. The second, was when I walked into Amelias to find a mother and her toddler were ask to leave because she was unable to control her child. Upon hearing this I went to the front desk and asked for the managers information to file a complaint. I also asked for the gentlemens name who made the comment. Each staff I spoke to refused to give their information, the gentlemans information and the owners contact information. Throughout this interaction between myself and staff the toddler who was unable to be controlled stood there quietly. There were other children in the restaurant making just as much noise as the toddler previously had been doing. As soon as I asked for the managers information I was immediately asked to leave the restaurant. Never mind the fact that I was going there for dinner with a child of my own. When asked why I was being asked to leave the gentleman did not answer. Ultimately, we walked out of the restaurant after the continuously refused to give any information on how to file a complaint. Ultimately, the police were called. There was not an altercation, therefore no reason to have called the police. However, when pulling out of the driveway, I spoke to the police officer and was told they were called for unruly customers. If this is how they treat their black customers with children, I persuade you not to dine here. Please do NOT waste your money.
I don't like to bash restaurants just for the fun of it so I'll be succinct with my review. We were guests at a wedding there last night. Our waiter was very attentive and accommodating. He was personable and hard working. The food came out on time and was the correct temperature. What I have a problem with is their service staff. Although our waiter was very good. others were just plain rude, judgmental and had a terrible attitude. I grew up in the service industry and I can tell you that I've never seen servers with such terrible attitude, intolerance and indignation in my life. This restaurant and its management need to re-evaluate their training. It's my opinion that no matter how good your food is, no one will return to eat it if you don't treat them with respect.I would have given them five stars otherwise. However, I feel that my dining experience was tainted by the atmosphere.
Awesome restaurant. Beautiful setting, great service and super delicious food. Their steak was mouth watering, calamari done to perfection and pasta dishes were so tasty! We'll be coming back for sure!
This is a really nice restaurant with reasonable price points. Even though we went on one of the busiest days of the year, Mother's day, it didn't feel crowded, even though it was. We weren't rushed. Our server was friendly and went along with the family jokes. They were very accommodating with changes for dietary needs. Great restaurant for special occasions, date night, and just to go out for a fabulous meal.
